We have been granted a special privilege to install our own servers in the House Information Resource data center. This allows us to create affordable websites that incorporate dynamic applications aimed at providing content management, automatic publishing, enhanced constituent interaction, and many other value-driven services.
 
In our extensive discussions with the staff at Congressional offices, we recognized several needs that were unique to Congressional websites:
  • Site design must be clean and professional as to be a proud representation of the congressperson and their district.
  • Site content must be maintained by non-technical staff – quickly and easily – anytime, anywhere.
  • The site must be a communications tool that allows for instant dissemination of issue campaigns, press releases, and other important information to constituents, staff and the media.
  • Due to staff turnover, the learning curve on a content management solution must be minimal or non-existent.
  • Constituents need the ability to contact their Representative electronically and receive meaningful information in response – with little or no interaction by staff.
  • The site should be interactive and dynamic - this engages constituents, cultivates citizen participation and encourages repeat visitors.

These requirements led us to incorporate our BlueLava Studio software into a Congressional Solution that frees up valuable staff time, reduces office expenses, simplifies content management, allows real time updates, and offers powerful new tools to communicate more effectively with constituents, staff, and the media.
